My mom was a very unselfish person. She always tried to please others, even if it meant that she would go without. Her number one concern was that her family and friends knew Christ as their Savior so that she would see them again in Heaven.

She was a nurse for the majority of her life and usually worked in nursing homes, because she loved the elderly and wanted to make a difference. Not only did she love the elderly, but she absolutely loved babies. You could lay a baby in mom’s lap, and she wouldn’t move for hours. She would skip supper if it meant being able to hold a baby for another few minutes.

One of my favorite memories of mom is a photo I’ve added here, where she is wearing her pink house robe. We lived in Germany, and I was bored to death one day. I followed everyone around the house with my camera annoying them, and when I found mom in the kitchen making hamburgers, she accommodated me with this goofy expression.

I really miss her and hope that her other friends and relatives with assist me by sharing their memories of her.
