William Odden, 75, Blue Earth

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel, Minneapolis, for William M. Odden, 75, Blue Earth, who died Tuesday at St. Cloud Veterans Administration Medical Center. Pastor Paul Neville will officiate. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday. at the chapel in Minneapolis. Local ar-rangments were by Williams Funeral Home. , William Odden was born Feb. 25, 1915, in Bricelyn to Torgor and Dora Odden. He was a World War II Marine veteran, a Japanese prisoner of war four years and was in the Bataan Death March. He owned Bass Lake Ballroom and Odden Cafe in Winnebago until 1962 and moved to Edina. He had been , employed by Berg Store Fixtures, Minneapolis, and owned jewelry stores in Burnsville, Edina and Fairmont. Survivors include daughters, Pamela Auldinger, Papillion, Neb.; Candy Neville, Eugene, Ore.; sister, Evelyn Enger, Winnebago; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Pallbearers will be members of St. Louis Park VFW Post.
