liver Wickes, a carpenter by trade, served as a private, sergeant and ensign during Revolutionary War. From no less than May 1780 to May 1785, he served as an Ensign in the 2nd Company (Coventry) [Captain William Ray’s Company], Kent County Regiment [Lieutenant Colonel Commandant Archibald Kasson’s Regiment] of the Rhode Island Militia. He served as a Private in Captain Jeremiah Olney's Company and as a Sergeant and Ensign under various commands. He married Abigail Greene on 20 Nov 1777 at Coventry, Kent, Rhode Island. He is listed in the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Patriot database as Patriot #: P-319458.
