Hulie Washington Freeze (1908)

ulie Washington Freeze was born October 31, 1908 in Henderson, Rusk County, Texas. The son of Benjamin Hertz Freeze (1884-1937) and Athie E. Hudson (1884-1967). Hullie attended Stephen F. Austin Teachers College Graduating in 1937. He enlisted in The Army Air Corps in 1943. He trained at Kessler Field Massachusetts, San Antonio Texas, McCooke Nebraska, and North Carolina. He served in England, France, and Germany. He was awarded the European Theatre of Operations Ribbon and discharged in 1945. He taught school as a Government Teacher, and worked as a Real Estate Developer. He lived in Nacogdoches for 60 years, and never married. He passed away in Nacogdoches Texas on February 13, 1995, and was entered at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Henderson Texas.
