Pfc Stanley and Pvt Bernard Konish Have Happy Reunion in Hospital in England.Eynon, April 25 - After a separation of four years, PFC Stanley Konish, twenty one, and Pvt. Bernard Konish, eighteen, met recently in a hospital in England where both had been admitted to the same ward, according to a letter received this week by their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Konish of 355 Irving Street, Sturges.

Stanley was wounded in action in Germany on Feb.2, last, and was removed to a hospital in England. His brother suffered a fractured leg near the front line in Luxenbourg and was sent to a hospital in France. Bernard was later transferred to the England hospital where he met Stanley and the brothers enjoyed many happy hours together. Stanley was in training with the 109th Infantry Regiment at Camp Livingston, La., when he volunteered for service with the paratroopers. He trained for several months at the paratroopers' school at Fort Benning, Ga., and went overseas in April, 1943. The Sturges soldier participated in the invasions of North Africa, Sicily, and Normandy and was also engaged in five other major battles.

Bernard was inducted into service Sept. 5,1944, and after receiving his basic training at Camp Croft, S. C., was assigned to overseas duty last January. He and his brother attended Eynon High School.

Mr. and Mrs. Konish have three other sons also serving in the armed forces. Corporal Joseph is stationed in Iran.Private First Class John is serving in Germany and Private Walter is with the army in Luzon.
