June M. DuMonthier, 72, of 30 Ottawa Trail, Sheboygan, passed away Friday April 27, 2007, after a 4-year battle with cancer.

Born on 6/30/34 in Manitowoc a daughter of the late Ed & Marie Jachimstal. She attended Washington and Lincoln Schools in Manitowoc. She graduated in 1952 from Lincoln High School of Manitowoc. June married James A. DuMonthier on April 18, 1953 in Sheboygan, he preceded her in death January 4, 2003.

She was employed as a bus driver for the Sheboygan County Stagecoach for 15 yrs and then a receptionist at Sheboygan County Health and Human Services for 6 years prior to her retirement in 1999.

June was a regular blood donor to the American Red Cross. She liked being a worker at the voting polls after her retirement. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing and vacationing in Florence, WI, at her place up north, where she loved to watch the birds and deer. Always a lover for nature, she would feed the deer then sit and watch quietly as the deer ate the trail of corn that went to her doorstep. She loved her dogs and cats and especially her cat Missy. She loved her family, was always willing to lend a helping hand, and would open her home to those in need.

June is survived by six children, Ann Marie (Andy) Gosz Duranceau of Green Bay, Jean (Marshal Balde) DuMonthier, David DuMonthier, Carol DuMonthier, Nancy (Chuck) Robinson, and Paula (Dave) Zimmermann all of Sheboygan. Five grandchildren, Nicholas (Char) Mertes and Eric Mertes of Green Bay, Larry Kirchner (fiancée-Crystal Pierce) of Appleton, Michael Bower, and Marissa Robinson. Two great grandchildren, Aliya and Trenton Mertes both of Green Bay. She is further survived by two sisters, Marion Stock and Gladys Grapentine. One brother, Thomas (Linda) Jachimstal all of Manitowoc. Two brother-in-laws Richard (Arlene) DuMonthier and Gerald (Betsy) DuMonthier both of Sheboygan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and very close friends Harold & Dorothy Hibbard of Shawano. Special friends, Candy Beenen and Jesus Lopez. June was preceded in death by her parents, and two brother-in laws, Norman Stock and John Grapentine.

Loved dearly by her family, she will be sadly missed. Jim, her departed husband, is waiting for her, as he has all the good fishing spots marked.

Funeral Services for June will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at 7:00 P.M, at Zimmer's Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center (Hwy JJ & 42) The Reverend Barbara Hill will officiate. Friends may call on Tuesday, at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Burial will take place at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.

The family would prefer memorials be given in her name.
