Ruth Virginia Fulton was born 23 April 1916, in Kenton County, KY, the daughter of Blaine and Hannah (Nee Wrigley) Fulton. In June of 1934, Ruth graduated from Lloyd Memorial High School, where she had been a member of the Debate Team. Ruth went on to complete college, and became a Teacher.

In July of 1941 Ruth Virginia Fulton Married Kermit Elwood York, and together they had two children, a daughter and a son. Ruth continued teaching during her Marriage and her last Teaching assignment before her retirement, was at Holmes High School. Ruth was a very active member of her Church, New Beginning Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Erlanger, and very active in her community, having served as former president of Covington Art Club, she was also a valued member of the Kenton County Republican Women's Club and the Lakeside Senior Citizens' Club.

On Thursday, 09 August 2007, Ruth died at her home in Edgewood, Kenton County, KY, having been preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Elwood York, on 25 March 1976. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Blaine & Hannah (Nee Wrigley) Fulton, by her brother, Ralph Wrigley Fulton, who had been Killed in Action during WW II, on 25 March 1943,
and by a Sister, Mrs. Edwin C. (Cora Mae Fulton) Gibson, on 16 August 2001.

Ruth is survived by her Daughter and Son, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, her Sister, Anna Lois Fulton Faulkner, her Brother, Bruce Wrigley Fulton, and nieces and nephews.

She was buried on Monday, August 13, 2007, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Erlanger, Kenton County, KY.

EDGEWOOD - Ruth Fulton York, 91, died Thursday at her home.

She was a retired Holmes High School teacher, a member of Kenton County
Retired Teachers Association, a trustee at New Beginning Evangelical Presbyterian
Church, Erlanger, and former president of Covington Art Club, Kenton County
Republican Women's Club and Lakeside Senior Citizens Club.

Her husband, Kermit E. York, died in 1976.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen York Smith; son, David A. York Sr.;
sister, Anna Faulkner; brother, Bruce Fulton; four grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Monday with service following at New Beginning
Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Erlanger. Burial will be in Forest Lawn
Memorial Park, Erlanger. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger, is
handling arrangements.
