rom Henry, TN and in TX as early as 1845 when married Amanda Ward in Marshall. Moved back to TN before 1850 then moved to Frio Co., TX in 1858. Called Major Allen in 1870. One of his sons has "Son of Mexican War Veteran" on tombstone.
