My grandmother Margaret (Rossiter) Davis had a sister named Catherine Rossister. Her nickname was Reenie. All I know about her is the following and that she lived and died in New York.

January 16, 1906—Catherine Elizabeth Rossiter was born in Taunton, Massachusetts. Her parents were: Edward A. Rossiter and Mary A. (Boylan) Rossiter; their address was 17 Porter Street in Taunton.

1910 Census—Catherine is listed as the four-year-old daughter of Edward Rossiter whose occupation is listed as Proprietor Lunch Cart. It also lists Alice and Rose Boylan as his sisters-in-laws; his address as Porter Street and his other children James E. (age 2) and William F. (age 2 months).

1920 Census—Margaret and her three siblings are listed on 35 School Street with Alice Boylan, Rose (Boylan) Knapp and Barrel Knapp. Her brothers James Edwards and William are clearly marked nephews; the relationship beside Margaret looks like orphan and the one beside Catherine looks like niece. There are six boarders listed in the home; one is John Cashman (Alice’s future husband). This census was enumerated on January 11, 1920.

1920 Census—Catherine “Reenie” is also listed as living with her grandparents William and Catherine Rossiter; this census was enumerated on January 12, 1920.

1930 Census—Catherine “Reenie” is listed as living in Queens, NY with her aunt Anna Rossiter (William and Catherine's daughter and Edward Rossiter's young sister) and working as waitress in a tea room. She and Anna were also living with Gertrude Goodwin and Jean Riley.
