1st Lt John E Batchelder Jr was the Pilot in the Batchelder Flight crew. In January 1945 they started combat duty in the 392nd Bombardment squadron. They flew their missions from Saipan, and the main bombing target was Iwo Jima. They seemed to have stayed with the 392nd when it returned to Hawaii in Mar 1945.
