YDNA was supplied two years ago, and DNA from maternal side is in the process. We are praying that this hero's remains are recovered, and in the meantime we have eyewitness accountings supplied to request a long overdue MOH for his heroism under heavy fire that allowed his unit to retreat.

Sergeant First Class Bailey was a member of Company G, 2nd Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on July 17, 1951. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. Sergeant First Class Bailey was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
