My Papaw was so proud of his service. He had been out of the Army only 2 weeks when Pearl Harbor was bombed. He then enlisted into the Navy. He never told us much about what he did but he would share the history of WWii. The stories he would tell. I just wish I had been smart enough to record them all. At 14 he enlisted into the Army. A teacher lied about his age. My Papaw was my hero growing up and I still miss him today!
